Fajã dos Padres is expanding its kitchen team and is seeking a versatile, independent, and responsible cook who is eager to be part of a growing culinary project.

We are looking for a professional with a strong grasp of various kitchen areas—capable of maintaining high standards and quality across hot and cold stations, prep, plating, and the pass, while adapting to the needs of the service.

We are not simply looking for someone to execute tasks; we seek an individual who can think critically, anticipate needs, propose ideas, and work effectively within a team.

Our kitchen prioritizes quality ingredients, seasonality, and well-executed simplicity.
Whenever possible, we work with produce from our own farm as well as with local suppliers.

If you have:

• Training in the restaurant industry
• Experience as a professional cook
• Ability to work across hot and cold stations, prep, and the pass
• Consistent quality, regardless of the specific station
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety
• Organizational skills and the ability to anticipate needs
• Ability to work well in a team
• Autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility
• Willingness to learn and grow
• High adaptability and versatility
• Creativity and a willingness to propose new ideas

We particularly value professionals who can maintain established standards—even in the absence of the head chef—make sound decisions, and contribute to the team’s smooth operation.
