Access
The cable car is available to all guests without restrictions from 8:00 to 19:00. Guests may also use the cable car from 21:00 to 22:00 for late arrivals.
Trips out of the regular cable car operating hours must be arranged with some time in advance with the cable car operator, and have an additional cost.
Please contact the Reception to request boat transfer to/from Câmara de Lobos or Funchal or for other boat trips.
Animals
There are no dangerous animals at Fajã dos Padres.
We raise pigs, chicken, ducks and sheep, which are fed with leftover vegetables and fruits. These animals are treated according to organic farming methods.
Please ask at the Reception for further information about “our” animals.
Bar
Fajã dos Padres Restaurant offers bar service from 10:00 to 18:00. We look forward to your visit!

Barbecue
We have created a pleasant outdoor kitchen and dining area next to the garden, where you can cook your barbecue.
The Sailor and the Boat House patios are also equipped with a barbecue fireplace.
You may find some wood available for making the firepan next to the fireplace, or you can collect some wood from the beach.

Beach / Access to the Sea
Fajã dos Padres has a wide pebble beach in all its extension. Please notice that there is no lifeguard on duty.
It is a nice beach, thanks to its easy access to the sea in the area that goes from the jetty to the end of the bay, and to the mild temperature of the water all year round.
There is also a public solarium equipped with sun beds and parasols, and an easy access to the sea through the jetty.
Ask for beach towels. Go for it!
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at the Fajã dos Padres Restaurant from 09:00 to 11:00. If agreed previously, breakfast can also be served at the House. Check our breakfast’s menus in the Restaurant section of this directory.
Bugs
As the house is built on an organic farm, it is easily exposed to bugs. Feel free to use the insecticide spray and the electric anti-mosquito diffuser that you encounter at the house, whenever necessary.
To avoid mosquito’s entrance into the house, we highly recommend closing all the doors and windows without anti-mosquito nets whenever the house interior lights are opened.
Car Parking
A few places for car parking are available at the cable car upper station. Fajã dos Padres is not responsible for items left in vehicles or any other problems related with guest cars.
Check-out
Check-out time is 11:00. Please contact the reception to check-out. Payments are made at the reception, or exceptionally at the cable car station.
Late check-out is available on request, subject to availability.

Farm
Your house is settled in an organic farm producing a number of different vegetables and fruits, some of them quite exotic!
Please never pick fruits directly from trees.
We invite you to join our guided tours around the agricultural farm. We also invite you to come with us and harvest your own vegetables!

First Aid
Small treatments can be made at Fajã dos Padres Restaurant. Find emergency Contacts in the corresponding section of this directory.
Front Desk Services
Front desk services are provided at the Reception, with the following working time: 9:00–18:00.
Please understand that the receptionist may be out of the office in some periods of the day. In this case, as well as whenever out of the reception working hours, please call the receptionist for guest attendance or contact us via WhatsApp at +351964782895.
Fruits and Vegetables Order
We invite you to taste our home-grown organic fruits and vegetables. Fill the corresponding order and leave it at the house. Your fruits and vegetables will be delivered shortly. Try it!
Games
There are some board games and puzzles available for your entertainment. Please find them in the reception.
Heating
You will find an electric heater in your house. Use it for comfort during the coldest days, but please be mindful and do not leave the house without turning it off.
Housekeeping
The house is cleaned daily.
This service does not include doing your washing up. If you would like this to be included as part of your daily cleaning, please contact the Reception. This service has an extra cost.
Please ask the Reception if you require additional blankets, pillows, bath or beach towels, or for lost and found items.

Free wireless internet access is available in the House and in the Restaurant.

Kitchen / Kitchenette
The kitchen is equipped with a set of electrical devices for your convenience: refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster. We have attempted to provide all the necessary utensils, bake ware, cookware and other important kitchen items for a maximum of 4 people.
There are also some tools available for making a basic house cleaning.
If you do not find an item you need, or if you need assistance with either of these items, please notify us as soon as possible!
Laundry and Ironing
Ask for laundry services at the Reception; notice that it has an extra cost.
An iron and ironing board may be provided on request.
Library
Exchange your book. You should find a collection of books at the Reception library that were left by our guests with the purpose of being exchanged with others.
A selection of local fauna, flora and history documentation and touristic guides are also at your disposal.
Local Hikes and Activities
You may have nice walks along the existing farm trails. Please respect the private areas of the other houses, and make sure that you only walk on existing trails. The areas directly below the cliff are extremely dangerous. Children should never be left unattended.

Luggage
Please contact us for assistance with the luggage transportation to the cable car or quay at +351 966 494 144.
Our staff will be happy to inform you about levadas, tours, museums, protected areas, towns and other interesting sites to visit. Some suggestions are available in the Surroundings section of the present directory.
For security reasons, we highly advise you to inform the cable car operator or the receptionist when you go for a levada or mountain hike without guidance.
If something is missing or not in working order, please report it to the reception staff as soon as possible.
Please be informed that our insurance policy does not cover the damage/breakage of items in your house.
Meals
Fajã dos Padres Restaurant has a great offer of local comfort food, and it is opened from 11:00 to 18:00.

Dinner can be ordered at the restaurant until one hour before its closure. We may deliver dinner at the House.

Security
Your safety and security are of the utmost concern to those of us who welcome you as our guest. If a security need arises, please contact our staff for immediate attention.
Please always keep the doors locked when you leave the house. Be mindful that some doors can be opened from the outside when not locked.
Fajã dos Padres is not responsible for any valuables left in your house.
Smoking
Smoking inside the house is not permitted.
Smoking is allowed in exterior balconies and patios. Please use the provided ashtray, or ask for one at the Reception.
We thank you for your cooperation and respect for this rule.
Solarium
The House has a private solarium over the beach and/or a private garden. Lounge chairs and parasols are available to help you relax more comfortably.
Fajã dos Padres also hosts a spacious public solarium near the quay equipped with beach chairs and parasols. Enjoy your retreat!
Spa Amenities and Services
We provide high quality, organic soap and shampoo at the house.
Pass by the Reception and get to know the natural amenities line of our local parner Khora Cosmetics [PT] .
Massage therapy, as well as manicure and pedicure services are provided on request. Check section Regular Activities and Events of this directory for more information.
Sports and Playground
You will find an outdoor playground in the garden and a grass playfield. Ask for badminton rackets and shuttlecocks, balls, and other equipment at the reception.
Children must be always accompanied by a guardian.

The house is equipped with a TV with access to international channels.
Water
The tap water of the house is suitable for drinking. Do not drink water from exterior taps.
